My Life | Boston and North Shore MA Lifestyle Photographer

Earlier this evening I shared this collage on my personal Facebook and Instagram pages. The response has been a bit overwhelming and has made me want to do a series of these images so I thought I’d share it here as well.

Sarah Phillips Photography | Who Am I?

Here’s what I shared on FB: Today while I was grocery shopping, I noticed that all the moms looked a little more worn out than usual and I suspected that I wasn’t the only one wearing the t shirt that she’d slept in to the store…Then I got in my car and caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror, I shook my head a little and asked myself what happened. Where has the time gone? My life is so good but I’m struggling with this getting older business. The carefree girl who used to be so put together and up for anything is in there somewhere, but she’s 40 and it seems like she’s slowly becoming invisible. When I got home and started putting the groceries away in my small and messy kitchen, I thought it would be funny to get dressed up and just see what my kids would do (I’m totally normal!) I went upstairs and put on the only fancy dress that still fits (kept the bed head though and didn’t bother with makeup…thankful for black and white!). Grace told me that I’m beautiful. Josh asked for Fruit Loops. Pretty much the story of my life.

If you’ve ever felt the way that I just described (you don’t have to be a mom!) and want to get all dressed up and do something mundane, please get in touch with me. I’d love to take your picture.
