First grade spelling words are hard.
There are days when I feel like we’ll both be lucky if he makes it to two. I truly cannot leave him alone for a minute.
I don’t care if it’s blue and stains his clothes. It keeps him content and in that chair for about an hour. I intend to start buying it by the case.
He’ll only eat it with a grown up spoon. 🙂
He’s completely obsessed. He can open the safety latch and untie the dish towel that I use to tie the doors shut. He takes everything out of this cabinet ten times a day and has broken almost all of my glass pie plates. I no longer try to stop him, I just sit on the floor and take pictures of the destruction and the cuteness.
I grew up with two sets of grandparents and tons of cousins very close by. I often feel sad that my kids don’t get to have that same experience. My mom and dad are only two hours away in Connecticut, but we don’t see them as often as I’d like. Josh hasn’t spent much time with them at all so I’m really excited to have my dad here with us this week. This was this morning at breakfast. It’s just a quick snap but I love the moment so much and I think it might be one of my favorite pictures ever. Even though you can’t see my dad’s face, forty years from now, I know in my heart that I will look at this picture, hear the two of them laughing and be able to picture the exact face that he was making because it was SO my dad.
