Nancy & Sean | Beverly MA maternity photographer

Nancy and Sean drove up from the south shore for a maternity session at the beach with me. We had planned to meet at Lynch Park and do pictures in the gardens and then on the beach. Unfortunately, there was a wedding happening and we couldn’t get near the garden and it was so windy that the beach wasn’t really an option either. Fortunately, the north shore is a beautiful place!

We improvised and headed over to Long Hill where we had the entire place to ourselves.

Italian Ice BLISS

I don’t care if it’s blue and stains his clothes.  It keeps him content and in that chair for about an hour. I intend to start buying it by the case.
He’ll only eat it with a grown up spoon.  🙂

Dreamy Lashes BLISS

It’s just not fair.  I look just like him, minus the lashes.

He had a fever tonight and passed out on the couch before dinner.  I snuck a few quick pictures before moving him to his bed.

One | Beverly MA Child and Family Photographer

One of my favorite things about my job is that I meat the nicest people and am lucky enough to end up calling them my friends. I met Nancy and Gabe at the end of last summer when Nancy was 38 weeks pregnant for a maternity session. I’m sure we were quite the spectacle at Lynch Park that night as I was 36 weeks pregnant myself. I instantly loved Nancy. What’s not to love about a pregnant woman in red heels who will do a stag jump for you? Yup, you read that right. She did a stag jump. And I, with my very large 36 week pregnant belly got down on the ground to get the shot.

A little less than two weeks later, I saw Nancy and Gabe again when we got together at their home for their son Leo’s newborn session. I have never seen two people as in love with each other and their new baby as they were (and are). Leo didn’t sleep a wink for our entire session. He also didn’t let his mom or dad put him down for more than 2.8 minutes. We got some beautiful pictures of them hanging out and of Leo breast feeding though. Their session is one of my favorites to date.

Over the past year, Nancy and I have become friends. We’ve enjoyed more than a few cups of tea (we may or may not have worn large hats and put our babies in ties once), gone for walks and spent hours at Cassis chatting over coffee and whatever sweet thing struck our fancy. A few weeks ago, Leo turned one and it was with great pleasure that I photographed their family again, starting at their home and then back to Lynch Park for a few more.
