clickinmoms

In June of 2008, the best thing that’s ever happened to me, at least photography wise, happened. I was cruising around the blogosphere when stumbled upon clickinmoms, a new photography forum. I initially signed up for a six month membership, and when it expired, I signed up for another year. Tod ay, I

am a lifetime member. It’s that good.

There are lots of forums and places to learn out there and I am members of several of them, but clickinmoms is home. Whether you are a seasoned pro or someone (not necessarily a mom or even a woman!) who is just starting out with a DSLR or even point and shoot camera, you will find inspiration, information and friends on clickinmoms. Yes, friends. Two years ago I would not have thought it possible to feel so close to a group of people that I’ve never met. Thanks to clickinmoms I have a network of amazingly talented photographers in my life who inspire and encourage me and who I feel very lucky to call friends.

Right now, clickinmoms is offering a special deal to new members. To receive 10% off of a new subscription, enter the code FRIEND at checkout. To receive 20% off of a lifetime subscription use the code LOVECM. Check it out (just click on the big clickinmoms sign below!)! I promise that you’ll be glad you did.

Because it’s Father’s Day | Beverly MA newborn photographer

This morning I got to help celebrate baby A’s one month birthday and his dad J’s first Father’s Day. A was the sweetest, cuddliest most content little man and I loved watching his mom and dad look at him with complete adoration. Here’s an early sneak peek for you to enjoy as this first of many Father’s Days winds down and comes to an end.

Another baby boy! | Salem MA Newborn Photographer

Little N reminded me so much of Josh. He just LOVED his mom and was happiest when she was holding him. He was incredibly alert, watched me like a little hawk and I swear, he managed to keep one eye on his mother at all times.

I absolutely love this shot. It was a real moment between them and I can almost here N’s mother Sarah singing when I look at it.

She got him to sleep, but can you see how he’s peeking out of his right eye, just a little

?

And then, sweet surrender.

Picture Perfect Workflow Actions | New Actions from Michelle Black

I had the opportunity to test Michelle Black’s new workflow actions and all I can say is, she’s done it again! The set includes actions that do everything from adjusting exposure to adding texture and batch resizing. They’re easy to tweak and “buildable”. I was honestly blown away by what they’re capable of doing on their own. The images below were processed using JUST the Picture Perfect Workflow Actions. I wouldn’t say that any of these images are “finished” but I think you’ll agree that they’re off to a great start.
