Yesterday morning while I was doing dishes Josh started giggling. I turned around and saw this.
It’s kind of hard to tell, but he’s sitting up in the swing. Ready to jump out. He’s getting so big, so fast. It makes me happy and sad all at the same time.

On Tuesday night, I had the honor of going to the airport with a family to meet their daughter, adopted from Korea, for the first time. I knew the minute that I took this picture that no matter what else I captured that night or the rest of this week, this would be my 52 | 12 image. This is Claire looking through the window as the plane that her baby girl was on pulled up to the gate.
She’d been dreaming and praying for this moment for the last twenty-seven months. I think her face says it all.

It was a crazy week here on the North Shore. It started with the heaviest rain that I have ever seen and ended with beautiful warm sunny weather. Unfortunately, I was too busy cleaning up the aftermath of a flooded basement to get out and take many pictures. I was so surprised when I went to look through this weeks photos and all I had were some from a ballerina birthday party that we went to last weekend. Here’s the birthday girls little sister hanging out with daddy and watching the big girls dance. I think she was mesmerized.

Once in a blue moon, my little princess slows down long enough to pass out on the couch. I photograph it every time. Please don’t tell her. She gets really upset.

Seriously, she’s threatened to steal my camera if I do it again.
